Parking lots (P+R, B+R)

We are constantly increasing the number of our P&R spaces. In addition to Sopron and Szombathely, we offer free parking at several railway stations along the Szombathely – Szentgotthárd railway line, which adds up to a total number of over 230 parking spaces.
P&R spaces in Sopron and Szombathely can only be used with a parking ticket. You can receive a parking ticket from our ticket offices on the day of your journey.

The parking ticket is valid until midnight on the day of parking, if

• it was issued for at least 40 km for a monthly, half-monthly or 30-day card, 
• it was issued for at least 40 km for a return ticket of full or reduced price for domestic travel,
• the passenger over 65 years has an upgrade ticket for 1st class for distances of at least 40 km.

The parking ticket is valid until midnight of the following day, if 

• it was issued for at least 120 km for a return ticket of full or reduced price for domestic travel.
• the passenger over 65 years has an upgrade ticket for 1st class for distances of at least 120 km.

Please note that parking tickets cannot be issued for cards or passes that allow free travel, further for tickets that had been issued for travel vouchers, or in case of the purchase of a surcharge only. 

The parking spaces are accessible for cars with a maximum length of 5.5 m and a gross weight of 3500 kg. If the validity period is exceeded or in case of unauthorized use, we will charge a parking surcharge (4,000 HUF / day).

GYSEV is not liable for damage caused by events outside of its scope of activity.

Parking information:

To open the gate, please enter the 4-digit code on the “CODE COUPON” you received from the ticket counter. 

After three incorrect entries in a row, the keyboard is deactivated and a new entry is not possible for 30 seconds. 

 Without a “CODE COUPON” or if the code has expired 

• the ticket office will issue you a new “CODE COUPON” valid until the end of the given day, provided you can prove your eligibility with a valid ticket or monthly pass. 
• Otherwise, a parking fee must be paid at the ticket counter, for which a “CODE COUPON” valid until the end of the day will be issued. 
• The parking surcharge (4.000, - HUF / day) must be paid at the designated ticket counters. Errors of the gate system can be reported either to our security service on +36 99/577 114 or +36 30/947-0405, or in person at the ticket counters. Bike & Ride (B&R)
